An enhanced on-site assessment of the working environment

On-Site Assessment

OPA workplace on-site assessments consist of an enhanced look at the working environment.

The OPA on-site assessment is detailed and takes around 2 hours to complete. It consists of taking a medical history, direct observation of the employee in the workplace performing their role and considers the environmental factors that may require adjustment to reduce risks to the employee and ensure the employer is meeting HSE standards. A full report following the assessment will recommend adjustments (such as specific ergonomic equipment for the individual).

This type of assessment is recommended when a more in-depth evaluation of capabilities is required, where there may be environmental factors affecting the employees’ health or the business has been unable to adjust the environment effectively and a health issue remains.

Management can refer directly for this assessment or it may be recommended after a fitness for work/ sickness absence assessment.
